Good question. Having never heard the term Tier 1 gas before today I did some quick research. I have been using primarily Noco brand gas since moving to western New York 9 years ago. Noco is not listed on the few tier 1 list I have seen so far. Time for a change. Not sure if the Noco gas is good or bad but trying something else seems a reasonable step. I am also researching catch cans. There the picture is far from clear. Some say they are great while others say not so fast and urge caution for several reasons.
On most of the times, while washing or cleaning your car, one thing gets unnoticed because there is a certain part of it not exposed. The top edges of the car windows get a permanent line of grime if not cleaned over a long period of time. Make sure to roll down the windows after washing the car and with the help of a clean microfiber cloth, clean these top edges of windows to avoid any permanent marks. It appears and looks ugly when you roll down the windows to a certain level.
Many thanks for responding to my query last year about my stuttering BMW 320d Touring. In light of your reply I took it the dealer who replaced the EGR valve, noticeably improving the performance. I have now been contacted by BMW for the big recall to replace the EGR cooler too. Can’t complain, though: it has been a great car. Now I’m starting to look for my next car, I would like it to be a long-term proposition and therefore I’m trying to avoid PCP deals and probably considering a petrol engine. Do you think there are any issues with ex-demonstrators in general, as they are perhaps less likely to be looked after/kept at low revs etc. by the multiple short journeys?
My XF 3.0 diesel is due for a change, it’s been a great car but I fancy an AWD estate; either the XF or V90 both look good. However, I can’t find any nearly new petrol versions of either for sale. My annual mileage is about 12k. Should I simply stick with a diesel? Both types have 2.0 AWD versions with good specs and the leap in price to petrol seems very high. Or is there an alternative I should consider?
GLX models are fitted with reversing sensors (on pick-up models), while GLX ADAS models add ‘forward collision mitigation’ – a forward collision monitor including auto emergency braking (AEB) that works at high and low speeds. Lane departure warning is standard on GLX ADAS models, too.

The crank position sensor differences are explained once we look at the crankshaft and piston diagram, which shows that both engines uses the same exact crankshaft but each has a unique crank pulser plate, which is to count the number of engine revolutions.
The fact is, it’s up to you to teach your kids about spending, saving and using credit cards properly.
I ended up replacing my shifter bushings for my vintage Audi Quattro with 3D printed PLA. Still going a year later.
The GLX+ steps up to a 7.0-inch touch screen media system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and while they have GPS location services, none have an in-built navigation system. These models score two USBs up front, and in the GLS and GLS Premium there are dual USBs in the rear as well. No model comes with a DVD player or a sunroof.
I wonder how Honda would feel about this procedure on their DI motor. I am quite sure they are aware of it.
In 2017, more than 1 million electric vehicles were bought worldwide. According to market research firm McKinsey & Co., the market – led by China – will continue to grow at impressive rates. An electric vehicle (EV) is built around electrical components: motors, batteries, and electrical assemblies. But even traditional vehicles are becoming increasingly electronic with ubiquitous sensors and actuators. While those electronics bring great capabilities, they also present a new array of challenges. Specifically, each component and each element within those components must be joined with high mechanical and electrical fidelity. Traditional methods have drawbacks – poor quality, unnecessarily large joints, or slow processing speeds.
